Mustard Seed Cafe

'The Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, the smallest seed you plant in the ground. But when planted becomes the largest of all garden plants. It produces large branches, and the wild birds can make nests in its shade.' Mark 4:31-32

In the Parable of the Mustard Seed, Jesus compares the Kingdom of Heaven to a mustard seed. Although having some of the smallest seeds, the mustard plant grows to a large size, providing shelter for birds. The story has been interpreted to mean that grand things can grow from tiny actions.
This is our prayer for our cafe.

The cafe in the Church Centre is open to members of the public on weekdays from 10am to 4pm. A selection of food is available including soup, toasties and fine pieces at reasonable prices. It is a great place to meet and the chatter and laughter is always welcome. We've also had quite a few people tracing their family history and we always do our best to help.

Please feel free to drop in and have a bite!

We are looking for a volunteer to takeover the running of the kitchen in the Mustard Seed Cafe on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from the start of February 2017. This is a great opportunity to play a vital role in the continued success of the Mustard Seed Cafe. The Cafe has become a vibrant and popular venue at the heart of New Deer and the surrounding local community. You will work with other volunteers to run the Cafe and preapre lunches and light snacks. For more information and to discuss the role further please contact Anne Milne at the Cafe on 01771 644097.

The Mustard Seed Cafe will be closed from the 16th of December 2016 and open again on the 6th of February 2017.
